Geekdom - Interactive Space
Geekdom is Qatar’s largest pop culture festival, organized by the Doha Film Institute, bringing together gaming, anime, cosplay, digital art, and cinema.
Within the festival, Hybrid Xperience team created an interactive zone — a unified immersive space with multiple installations, ranging from game mechanics and laser rooms to AI-driven and light-based experiences.
I contributed as a Creative Coder, developing visuals, user experience and interactive systems, and was responsible for the on-site implementation and launch of multiple installations.
Floor is Lava
Floor is Lava is an interactive game installation fully driven by body movement. A projected map on the floor shows shifting safe and danger zones, and players must collect as many points as possible while avoiding hazards that cost them lives. The game runs in three rounds, supports one to three players, and delivers a fun, energetic experience for both kids and adults.

The setup combined a floor projection with LiDAR tracking, with all projected content generated from real-time position data. Player movements were captured by the LiDAR and processed in TouchDesigner, where I programmed both the game logic and the visual design, including all dynamic effects.
Interactive Screen
Interactive Screen invited visitors to step in front of a five-meter LED wall and see their own silhouettes come alive as part of real-time generative graphics. The visuals, inspired by cyberpunk aesthetics and digital art, reacted dynamically to body movement, creating a playful yet atmospheric experience. Several different modes alternated automatically every minute, keeping the interaction fresh and engaging.

The installation combined a vertical LED screen with a Kinect sensor mounted to the side. The Kinect captured users’ silhouettes within the active zone, and this motion data was processed in TouchDesigner through generative algorithms that transformed it into dynamic visuals displayed in real time.
Immersive Tunnel
Immersive Tunnel was a walkthrough space built entirely from LED panels on the walls and ceiling, turning the tunnel into one seamless screen. Generative visuals created in TouchDesigner shifted between different modes, surrounding visitors from all sides and creating an immersive experience.
